Who are we?
Black Sea Law Counsel (BSLC) is an international legal and consulting firm established in Bulgaria in 2006, that unites registered lawyers in the Bar Councils in Sofia and Burgas, associates, licensed appraisers and real estate experts, accountants, financial and licensing consultants with experience of more than 15 years in all court, arbitration and out-of-court proceedings in the field of real estate, tax, commercial, migration, insurance and inheritance law.
Since its founding until today, BSLC has established itself as one of the leading Bulgarian law firms working with foreign clients and investors, as well as with Bulgarian citizens who seek a high level of professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality. Our team is the chosen partner of hundreds of individuals and legal entities from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Turkey, the countries of South America and Asia.
Our specialists are in control Bulgarian, Russian and English, which allows us to provide legal representation, protecting the interests of international clients from more than 26 countries across the entire spectrum of legal practice.
Over the years, our team members have successfully completed more than 600 real estate transactions, including transfer of property with a cross-border element, corporate acquisitions and restitution procedures.
Our team has represented clients before all Bulgarian administrative, municipal and state institutions and departments, as well as before all supreme and arbitration courts in the country.
Our services and areas of activity
In our practice, BSLC is built as an ethical and strategic partner — we do not just solve legal cases, but plan the long-term legal and financial situation of our clients, offering stability and predictability in a changing environment - we provide full legal assistance in the purchase, sale and management of real estate - from preliminary checks for property burdens, through drafting of notarial deeds to accompany the transaction before a notary, registration in the Land Registry and settlement of substantive disputes, both judicial and extrajudicial. We work with individual buyers as well as with international investors and construction companies, register commercial companies, branches and representative offices of foreign companies, prepare contracts, corporate acts and internal documents, and provide full legal and accounting services to Bulgarian and international companies.
Our team successfully represents clients in disputes with insurance companies, claims for damages after a traffic accident, including in the event of the insurer's refusal to pay the due compensation, as well as other cases related to contractual or tort liability.
We work on property inheritance cases, distribution of co-ownership, preparation of wills and divorces. We have considerable experience in international inheritance and divorce proceedings involving property relations between citizens of different countries.
BSLC advises and represents foreign citizens in obtaining visas, residence permits (VND, PSMs), citizenship, registration of investments and legalization of documents.
