Below you will find answers to questions that we most often receive from our clients before requesting legal advice. If you do not find the information you are looking for, feel free to contact us — we will take the time to clarify all the details that are important to you. We understand that for most people, legal advice is not an expenditure in itself, but a means to obtain clarity, certainty and a concrete result. That is why we are practical and honest — so that you know at the beginning whether and how we can be useful.
🧠 Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the date and time of the consultation after I have already booked an appointment?
Yes, it is possible to change the day and time no later than 12 hours before the agreed time. It is sufficient to contact us by e-mail or via the communication channel indicated at the time of registration for feedback with you.
Who will I talk to during the consultation?
You will speak directly with a practicing lawyer or consultant from the BSLC team who has experience in the relevant legal topic and works with international clients.
Can I include an interpreter, family member or other trusted person in the consultation?
Yes, if desired, you can invite an interpreter, partner or other person you trust. It is important to us that you feel comfortable during the consultation.
Do you work with legal entities or only with private clients?
We work with both individuals and legal entities — including entrepreneurs, companies, commercial representations, non-profit organizations and international clients.
Can I send documents in advance to save time during the consultation?
Yes, we encourage submitting documents in advance. This allows the consultation to proceed more efficiently and to concentrate on the essence of the matter.
Do I need to prepare my questions in advance?
This is advisable, but not mandatory. We can structure the consultation even with minimal prior information. However, if you send your questions in advance, this will allow us to prepare more targeted answers and use the time as efficiently as possible.
Do you issue formal legal opinions?
Yes. Upon your request, we can prepare a formal written legal opinion in Bulgarian, English or Russian, which includes the signature and seal of a lawyer when required by institutions, partners or third parties. The opinion may be used for administrative procedures, transactions or other formal purposes.
Is it worth consulting if I still do not have all the necessary documents?
Yes, in some types of cases, consultation can take place even when you do not have the full set of documents. We will discuss the situation, clarify what is missing and make a list of the documents that you will need. This allows you to start preparation confidently and without delay.
However, it is important to note that when you come to us for advice on real estate, inheritance, insurance and other matters and cases, we cannot advise you effectively if you do not have at least the minimum necessary documents.
What happens after the consultation if I need further assistance?
After the consultation, we will offer you an individual plan according to your case. If you wish to continue working together, we will prepare a contract for legal services, which describes all stages, terms, fees and volume of services. We remain available for constant communication and assistance — from the preparation of documents to the final result.
Can I get a consultation if I'm in a different time zone?
Yes, we work with clients from different countries and try to comply with your local time. Please note that all times in the calendar are in Bulgarian time (EET). We recommend matching the time difference to choose the most convenient slot.
Is the consultation appropriate if I am still planning to move to Bulgaria?
Yes. You can get detailed information about visas, visas, real estate, business, taxes and other key issues in advance in order to properly plan your move and avoid common mistakes.
Do you offer urgent consultations on the day of the inquiry?
Yes, if we have a free hour, we can hold a consultation within the same day. In such cases, express service conditions and the corresponding tariff plan apply.
Do I need to sign a contract before the consultation?
It is not necessary to sign a separate contract. After booking an appointment via our online calendar and making the payment, you receive an official payment receipt. It is quite enough as a confirmation of the agreed conditions and to start work.
Do you have discounts for repeated consultations or complex services?
Yes. We offer individual conditions for customers who return again or choose a comprehensive service. The specific discount depends on the volume and nature of the upcoming work.
Are the consultations only held online or is it also possible to make an on-site visit?
The main formats are online consultation or meeting in our offices in Burgas and Sofia. In certain cases — for example notarial transactions or inspections — a visit to a place indicated by you by our lawyer or consultant is possible after prior arrangement and additional payment.
Can the consultation be used to prepare for more complex cases or upcoming proceedings?
Yes. We can help you assess the chances of your case, discuss strategy, prepare documents and determine the most appropriate course of action before administrative or judicial authorities. If necessary, we also offer full follow-up representation.
